What a beautiful and blessed evening it was at the 13th Annual Grand Mawlid an-Nabi ﷺ, organized by the Sufi Meditation Center, Vancouver Chapter, on September 11, 2026, at the Riverside Signature Banquet Hall in Surrey, BC.

Alhamdulillah, it was truly a magnificent gathering filled with the love and praise of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, beautiful decorations, Meḥfil-e-Zikr, Naat Shareef, heartfelt reminders, and the joy of bringing our community together.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to experience this blessed occasion under the great teachings and guidance of our beloved Sayyidi, Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi (ق). May Allah ﷻ continue to bless him, grant him strength and long life, and allow his teachings of love, peace, and devotion to benefit countless hearts.

A special appreciation to everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this Mawlid so beautiful and memorable. From the incredible decorations and arrangements to the food, hospitality, volunteers, organizers, and everyone who attended, Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

Every week, volunteers of Fatima Zahra Helping Hand (FZHH) rescue thousands of pounds of fresh, nutritious food that might otherwise go to waste—including fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, meat, and baked goods.

Our volunteers collect the food, bring it to our warehouse, carefully sort and prepare it, and then distribute it to families with children, seniors, individuals with special needs, and others facing hardship.

🍎 Food that could have been wasted becomes meals on family tables.

🥛 Fresh dairy reaches seniors and individuals struggling with rising living costs.

🥩 Meat, fruits, vegetables, and baked goods help families provide nutritious meals for their children.

But none of this happens without transportation.
