Alhamdulillah, Fatima Zahra Helping Hand (FZHH) volunteers served fresh sandwiches and various drinks to homeless and less-privileged people on the streets of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside (DTES) in honor and remembrance of these blessed occasions:
🌹 6th of Rabi al-Awwal — Birth of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi (Q) — 604 AH
🌹 8th of Rabi al-Awwal — Urs (Passing) of Imam Hassan al-Askari (AS) — the 11th Holy Imam — 260 AH
🌹 9th of Rabi al-Awwal — Urs (Passing) of Mawlana Muhammad Masum (Q) — the 26th Shaykh of the Naqshbandi Golden Chain
We honor these blessed personalities not only by remembering their lives and teachings, but also by carrying forward their legacy of love, compassion, generosity, and service to Allah's creation.
For someone struggling on the streets, a sandwich and a refreshing drink can mean much more than a meal. It can bring nourishment, dignity, comfort, and the knowledge that they have not been forgotten.
Under the guidance and inspiration of Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi QS, FZHH continues to transform spiritual teachings into meaningful acts of service—helping those in need locally and supporting humanitarian initiatives around the world.
